Fire Fighter Brett visited Room 18

Fire Fighter Brett came to talk to us about keeping safe from fires.

In the class we got to have Brett. We practised if there was a fire, we needed to crawl to the door.

A surprise visitor to Room 18

A surprise visitor to Room 18 this morning.

This morning Riley brought in a kingfisher to school.

Riley’s dad found it on the road. His dad brought it to Jason’s house.

Riley fed it with some worms last night and this morning he fed it some worms too.

The kingfisher has some green on his wings. It has a pointy beak. It has a crooked wing.

It bit Riley’s dad on the finger. Everybody got to pat it. The kingfisher was just a baby. Riley’s dad is going to take it to Nga Manu Bird Sanctuary today.
